BBC bias

David Dimbleby's Comment On Jeremy Corbyn Bias Raises A Few Eyebrows

If even the people running the shows see it then I'd say it must be true !

Re: BBC bias

I guess there will always be someone from various political persuasions criticising the BBC of bias depending on which journalist is doing an interview at any particular time .

I have occasionally thought I have seen glimpses of bias with regard to the referendum decision to leave the EU in particular from Evan Davis on Newsnight.

I am an avid listener to Radio 4 and think the journalists on there are generally unbiased and try to give a balanced view.
But then I am not of any fixed political persuasion so am not looking for evidence of bias around every corner...

Re: BBC bias

That's good to hear Meg but this was coming from one of the most biased presenters BBC have so I tend to think it's true on this occasion.

I agree. It's unfortunate that Dimbleby is so biased because apart from that, he is a good presenter.

Re: BBC bias

When it comes to elections there will always be bias, because we all think differently.
When Corbyn became leader he allowed his personal opinions to affect the actions he took... and got a lot wrong. People remember that and it reflects in their opinion of him. They are doing the same with Trump in the USA, I don't like the man but I would rather have a leader who acts on his feelings than what Spin doctors tell him to do and say!
I would not vote for Corbyn, because I don't think he will be able to achieve his manifesto promises.... but I could be wrong!
Where he fell down in my eyes is the fact that they now force him to do as the spin doctors say, so he does to maintain his position as leader. I know that other politicians use spin doctors and I think they should all be banned!
I want politicians to be who they really are and have passion and belief in their manifesto, because winning the race isn't enough when it comes to running a country.
Sadly I don't see any politician with the passion I want, they just say what they think the public want to hear to gain votes. This means my vote will now be a guess on who is most likely to achieve some of their manifesto promises.... but without genuine passion, I cannot form an allegiance to any of the possible Prime ministers.

The BBC is spinning so fast it has lost it's balance and will fall over.

Re: BBC bias

No matter how non-partisan a presenter or interviewer may try to be, human instinct will always prevail, surely?
