Oh No! Bowel Screening...

I have just received a letter telling me to expect the 'kit' for the Bowel Cancer Screening in a couple of weeks!

Not the best subject to think, let alone talk about.

YUK! I hate doing it...

Just do it, and consider us all very fortunate we are given the opportunity to do it!!

I'm allowed to say that as I'm a semi colon

I do always 'do it'.

...Better to try to be as sure as possible, rather than sorry.

Re: Oh No! Bowel Screening...

As I've said on here before, my sister had no symptoms whatsoever, had a colonoscopy two years before because of family history, which was clear of all signs.
The test showed signs and she was treated for bowel cancer.
Unfortunately, after three years of chemotherapy and thinking she was clear of it, it appeared elsewhere in her body mainly in her liver, the tumour was too close to arteries to remove, they tried radioactive "beans" implanted next to it to shrink it but she eventually lost the fight.
During her treatment she was spending nearly all day on the toilet.
No one should suffer like she did.

Please do the test.
The earlier they catch it the better.
