Double Voting Investigation

Apparently there have been students bragging online on Twitter and FB that they voted twice which is illegal. They are registered to vote in their home constituency and in their university constituency. Legally they can only vote in one of the two but a number of people have openly boasted that they voted in both.

"South Derbyshire Tory MP Heather Wheeler has also called on the Electoral Commission to investigate double voting by students.

She claimed that students were posting that they had “voted four times”.

Mr Bone told the Daily Express that an investigation is needed to find out whether any group such as the Jeremy Corbyn supporting group Momentum “was organising double voting among students”.

This for me serves to underpin further how terribly Looney Labour performed in the election. Not only did they have the help of the young voters who were bribed with free tuition fees, and the help of Remainers voting tactically to scupper BrExit, they also had the help of double voting by students.

Despite all of that extra help Looney Labour still could only muster the same number of seats that they did 7 years ago in the 2010 election. An embarrassing result of epic proportions.

This hard-left mob headed by the IRA supporting Corbyn are a very dangerous bunch imo. They will take us into civil war if we don't nip it in the bud.

Only two replies and we see "Godwin's Law"

Invoke the nazi's and you've already lost any credibility and the arguement.

Re: Double Voting Investigation

How is it known that only Labour voting students did this?
I imagine the far more "intelligent" posh kids have been doing it for years!
Also, what's to stop anyone working away from their home constituency doing it, if it's is going on?

As I said on another thread, my daughter's named didn't appear on our home list.
I think postal voting should be the only way to vote when away from home, just to be sure.
Anyway, what happened to the van loads of votes that went missing in the previous election? Eh?

Re: Double Voting Investigation

From what I actually saw some were confused and were holding the letters you get to register to vote, not voting cards. They were unable to produce any proof they received two cards.

If they did it has to be addressed but it's not a party political problem it's a cock up of monumental proportions of various councils !

Re: Double Voting Investigation

Yes, Julie but, it doesn't make Labour voters look bad if it's put that way
