Re: Double Voting Investigation

If there is multiple voting and no doubt there would be, the system is at fault.

Doubt very much either party got an advantage.

Then why would the Electoral Commission feel obliged to say this:-

"However, it is an offence to vote twice in the same type of election, such as in a UK general election. Doing this could result in a fine of up to £5,000."

No point in having a fine if you cannot do it...?

Re: Double Voting Investigation

It shouldn't be possible and the young people who claim it haven't IMO done anything deliberately wrong, if the system is such that they can accidentally do it then it's not really fit for purpose !

Don't see how you could vote twice and not know it!

They may not have read the rules....but that's their problem.

It'll be interesting to see how the "who did it" analysis turns out.

Maybe with electronic voting a possibility but not the way it is done now
I must be a cynic!

I think that every vote will be analysed right down to where you live, what you do, and how much you have.

A Unique Voter Number might stop any chance of it ever happening.

A swipe system and NI number should do it.

I fancy a fingerprint recognition system, or some such.

That would have stopped the guy, up North, who grabbed all of the voting rights for his house full of people and voted for them all!
