Tourists killed in Hurghada

Two women tourists have been knifed to death in Hurghada
One of Egypts Red Sea resorts famous for it diving .
A typical cowardly attack on defenceless women.

Possibly another terrorist attack like the one a couple of years ago. It won't do Egypt's tourist trade any favours.

Re: Tourists killed in Hurghada

Egpts tourist trade has plummeted since then .
The extremists who do this don't want tourists at all .
Meanwhile the country is going down the pan
Sharm el Sheik once the countries foremost resort is now a ghost town . This historical sites of Luxor have suffered also causing great hardship among the many people who depended on it for their livelihood .
terrorism has killed tourism as well as tourists dead.

There's been a sharp rise in Spain's tourism which confirms North Africa (Tunisia et al) is suffering.

I cannot understand why anyone would consider going to a terrorist hotspot....just another tragic waste of life.

Hi

That is exactly what ISIS want.

Egypt is in the forefront of the fight against Radicals.

In particular, the fight against the Muslim Brotherhood, a terrorist organisation we allow here in the UK.

They chuck them in a hell hole of a prison, in the UK we grant them Asylum.

Statistically, you are more likely to to be subject to a terrorist attack here in the UK than you are in Egypt.

I am all in favour of seriously cutting our Foreign Aid Budget, by 80%.

The remaining 20% we need to target at those who are on our side against Terrorism, not the Pakistan's of this world.

It is money well spent, get them abroad, not let them into the UK.

I seem to recall that Hurghada is a district of the city of Luxor which is where one joins the river cruises down to Aswan - its a long way from the Red Sea!!!

Hurghada is on the Red Sea Coast, approximately a 4 hour drive from Luxor.

Egypt is a fantastic Country with it's history and it's beautiful coastal resorts but unfortunately it's one of those places that are no longer safe to go.
