Hi

You are more likely to be killed by a Terrorist here in the UK than you are in Egypt.

That's probably true but I would rather put my faith in our own emergency services in the event of an attack.

Hi

Really?

That is bollocks.

In Egypt they just shoot them, here in the UK we give them Asylum.

Any they do capture are subject to intense interrogation.

Here in the UK, we not only release them, we give them vast amounts of Legal Aid to protect them.

I'm not sure how many people you intend to say bollocks to but that's just my opinion. I'm not talking soley about the police I'm talking also about the medical services too. yes, I agree that we do not deal with terrorists in the correct way here but having been to Egypt several times, I got the feeling that the Egyptians only tolerate us for the income. They don't really like us, especially the younger generation so why put ourselves in that situation in the first place.

Really?

We release captured terrorists?

If I'm going to be the victim of a terrorist attack I'd certainly prefer it to be on home soil.

Me neither. When I think back to our tourist trips by coach with an armed police/army convey, I have to wonder what we were thinking.

The last time we went to Egypt was 2005 and we stayed in Luxor. Like you LD, we also had armed police escorts on all our coach trips ... but it made us feel safe . I would love to go back again but that is no longer possible.

Cairo is the pits....a city of total contradiction....wealth on one side and absolute poverty on the other.

Not for me.
