I have never heard of this before ,how do you know if you have it, does the hospital tell you.I have a bladder prolapse but no one mentioned a mesh

I was told mesh was being used at the time of my surgery in 2010. I didn't have pain like this with my first prolapse, apart from backache. This time, apart from knowing i have a prolapse I have pain and it's hard to walk when rising from a sitting position. I will be asking questions when I see the consultant.
