BrExit Poised To Rip Labour Apart

Brexit poised to rip Labour apart with majority of party members opposed to Jeremy Corbyn's plan

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017...mbers-opposed/

"Brexit could be poised to tear Labour apart after a poll showed that more than 80 per cent of party members oppose Jeremy Corbyn’s plan to take the UK out of the European single market.

Almost 70 per cent of members polled said they thought Britain should definitely stay in the trade bloc while a further fifth of members answered “more yes than no” to the question and just four per cent backed leaving the arrangement entirely.

Meanwhile, the same research also found that a majority of Labour members want a second referendum on Brexit.

Both positions contradict official Labour policy with Mr Corbyn’s Brexit plan based on the UK leaving the single market but retaining access to it while the party leadership has no intention of offering another Brexit vote.

It suggests that Labour could soon face an internal war as Mr Corbyn pursues Brexit policies at odds with what the membership want."

Looks like my prediction of a separate "EU" Party could well materialse.

Could this be the opportunity for Tony Blair to re-emerge into the political arena?

Indeed but the situations are slightly different. In the Tory party, May, having narrowly lost her majority is seen as vulnerable and that simply means that other Tory MPs will be plotting and scheming to see if they might be able to become PM instead. That's a constant factor in every political party at any time in history.

The Lying Looney Labour party on the other hand are miserably split on that fundamental core issues. It's not a division based on some MPs wanting to become party leader. It's a division based on differing views on BrExit and other core issues which are totally irreconcilable.

The duplicitous Corbyn wants to be all things to all people, telling everyone what they want to hear such as when he pretended to side with the Remainers despite having been very anti EU for years. Like telling people that the party supports the renewal of the UK's Trident missile system and then telling someone else he will scrap it at the earliest opportunity.

The Looney Labour party in its current state is just farcical. It's a mish mash of MPs with vehemently different stances on core issues. As a result it isn't actually a party at all. It just masquerades as one because each separate group within would like to hold onto that badge "The Labour Party".

This is why the party is and has been unelectable. It can't even set out a clear stance on BrExit which was one of THE most important issues to UK voters at the election.

A Looney split is 100% inevitable and I would guess will happen in the next few months. The question is which side of the feuding party will retain the title of "Labour Party" and which will have to invent a new party name?

We can only hope that the violent dispicable anti semitic and racist socialst hard left element are the ones ousted.
Not that I care of course.

If the party wants to self destruct and leave the Tories in power for the next 10 years by leaving Corbyn and the militants leading the nonsense then by all means let 'em.

All totally unelectable and unfit to govern.

Why are you so worried Realist?
If the Tories are do wonderful and capable, then Labour is no threat to them.
They are running the country, they are in power, they are expected to do it properly, therefore they should be criticised if they do things wrong.
Labour are not in power therefore they are not the ones doing things wrong.
If they do take power, then you can criticise to your heart's content.
It seems that you think they will shortly take over from the Tories and you are panicking.

Watch Corbyn fix this with a quick switch to being "Remainer" .

I prophesy that this will happen within the week!

"No! No!" you'll all shout, "he's not that duplicit"!

Sometimes I think the Tories would be grateful for somebody to take up the poison chalice called Brexit a no win situation.

Cameron saw how toxic it was. and was out of number 10 as fast as his feet would carry him.
