Greek Earthquake

Just hearing a 6.7 earthquake has hit Greece and Turkey.
The epicentre was under the sea.

In Kos the harbour front has been split in two. 2 people have died so far.

It must be terrifying to be suddenly feel the buildings and floors shaking all around you.

Re: Greek Earthquake

I have traveled, on quite a small boat, from Kos to Bodrum, and I think it only took about an hour. It was sunny with a lovely calm sea, so I find it hard to imagine what things must be like now.

Re: Greek Earthquake

Has anyone here ever felt an earth quake or tremor?

I'd be terrified, I know I would.

Re: Greek Earthquake

We had a tremor here about 30 years ago, and it is very scary. I thought a lorry had crashed into the house..... but it was just a fault line.

Re: Greek Earthquake

A friend of mine is coming back from Turkey this weekend.

Is there a special code I have to put before the number to try and text her Twink?

We get them here occasionally, they mostly go unnoticed, by me at least, but a few years ago we had one, it sounded like a train going underneath the house and for a couple of brief seconds it felt as if I was standing in a bowl of jelly.
