Making pay rises in percentages seems ridiculous to me. 15 percent, 31 percent ? If you earn a lot that's great if you earn nmw its not much at all. Just drives,the rich poor divide quicker !

I don't think that's being said here although I don't disagree with the principle. When you look at people earning average pay bleating about austerity then look at what people on nmw and benefit get it gets a bit wearing really and you realise it can't go on much longer.

It should be illegal to award your own pay rises IMO especially in public office ! Let tax payers make the awards.
