Re: Moth eaten Daffs

Sounds like snails or slugs. They are out in my garden now.
Or could be an early caterpillar. Still a bit cold at night times
for them but probably hungry. Its been over 6 months of
Winter, with rain, drowning lots of insects, so they will be hungry.

Slugs and snails leave a tell tale trail so I don't think she would have needed to ask.

I've had something eating my violas, many have finished up with frilly flower petals - can't find the culprit!

Re: Moth eaten Daffs

My money is on slugs. I have the same problem at the moment. The tiniest of slugs are out on the hunt already. I've been around the garden early mornings and picked them off my Daffs and they are even starting on the new shoots of Hostas which slugs love. They are so small they leave almost no trail..yet!

Re: Moth eaten Daffs

I found caterpillars in the garden this morning! Bit early I thought but perhaps they're eating my daffs!
