It's probably only Americas close interest in what Putin is up to that has stopped him going for a full invasion of the Ukraine.

Vladimir Putin doesn't need to invade the Ukraine, most of eastern ukraine is made up of ethnic Russians who want to re-join Russia anyway. All Putin has to do is 'nothing' and by playing the waiting game eastern Ukraine or indeed the whole of Ukraine will fall, like a ripe plum into his hands.

So where did those large bands of uniformly dressed ( but no identifying badges) well regimented and trained, very well and heavily armed insurgents come from that took over the Ukrainian facilities ? Are they your ethnic Russian dissident population ?

Very probably. Remember both Ukraine and Russia still use conscription, therefore its not surpising that these individuals appear well 'regimented'. As to arms, I don't know, but once again presume, that like America all sorts of 'arms' and suitable ammunition can be purchased from a variety of sources.

Just like that , off the tops of their heads , no outside influence an instant army ? You seen the amount of armour they have suddenly acquired and it's not of Ukrainian origin . Where the hell did that all come from , Ebay ?

If you watch the news and keep up with 'current events', you'll have seen that much of the equipment was 'confiscated' from the Ukrainian military.
