Lightning Strikes

Today's storms have caused a lot of damage in the York area. A house in Haxby has lost it's roof, two electricity substations have been hit and the signals network at York Station was wiped out - causing havoc. Our wonderful firemen/women have been kept very busy.

Re: Lightning Strikes

We have had one very small tremulous growl but the clouds are building just when there is a blood moon due tonight .

Re: Lightning Strikes

I had enough of those storms in Bulgaria, they scare me. Even more so after reading Tabby's post.

It's not arrived here yet, just hoping it will break the heat a bit when it does..

Re: Lightning Strikes

It's rained here & we've had thunder, no lightening or I haven't noticed it. I think it was always going to be worse up North. Until Sunday, then we should have it bad, or good. The heat is bearable today too.

I bet it'll be too cloudy to see this special moon.
