First ride of my 61st year

Been riding now since 12/2005, and love it more than ever! I first learned to ride way back in about 1966, but after a couple years I went on to other things. Had no clue what the future of unicycling would become back then, so I waited almost 40 years to rediscover it, but better late than never! The way I look at it, I have about 30 years of catching up to do!

Watch in HD and full screen if possible.

Fantastic.
I really enjoyed that Terry but a bit puzzled why you have to pedal downhill?

Thanks Carol and others for the nice comments. The reason is because unicycles are fixed wheels and can't coast, which means you must pedal continuously, as long as you're moving. (Just one of the many reasons why unicycling is such a great form of exercise!) And if the wheel was not fixed, it would be almost impossible to maintain balance. We use pedal pressure to keep balance on a unicycle since there is no second wheel with a frame between (like bikes) to stabilize the rider fore & afte. The only way to coast on a unicycle would be to take both feet off the pedals, thereby losing all contact with the rotating wheel.
