Re: Brexit Talks New Agenda.

Hi

We set out on the No Deal strategy and were told the EU would come running.

They haven't and are quite happy with no deal as they will profit from it.

It is a cynical, though logical, decision by the EU.

All they need to do is not license our services, which account for 75% of our exports to them.

Re: Brexit Talks New Agenda.

Hi

I must admit that I am now completely confused following May's speech in the House of Commons today.

We are leaving on 31st March 2019.

We will not be controlling EU Immigration from that date, all we will be doing is Registering EU Migrants.

So what?

Most EU Countries do that already, we are one of the few who do not.

We are saying we want to stay in both the Single Market and the Customs Union for two years after leaving and during that period we will continue to pay in.

During that period we still accept that the ECJ will be in charge.

Just what was the point of triggering Article 50 if we are not ready to leave?

This is not what I voted for.

It is well over a year since we, as voters, decided to leave.

From my perspective, naff all has happened to progress that.

Those who work for the Government and have to put Brexit into practice are totally disillusioned.

Those who work in Immigration have been waiting for over a year for instructions and the Go Ahead to get a new system in place.

Amber Rudd has only just announced a review of the system, much less given the money to do what we need to do.

We have failed to recruit Trade Negotiators simply because we did not offer enough pay.

On the Customs side of things, it is even worse.

Contractors working on it have been laid off because the proposed system cannot be accommodated on the servers originally ordered.

They are awaiting instructions from the Government and additional funding.

None of this is Rocket Science, Brexit was always going to expensive initially.

I simply cannot understand why we have not just got on with it.

We are perceived as weak due to Government infighting.

It needs to stop.

I dread that happening, because if it does this country has had it.

Firstly, we shall to all intents and purposes remain under the jackboot.

Secondly, the Conservatives will lose the votes of most if not all those who voted to leave the EU. The consequence would be that the Loonies will form the next government, and it is a well-known fact that they always leave the country much worse off than it was when they have taken over.

I think that they will come running, but that's just my opinion.

Even assuming they don't, I believe we should just walk anyway. Our freedom and the regaining of our sovereignty is, as far as I'm concerned, worth the financial consequences.

Also,I am sure we shall benefit in the longer term. We have suffered worse.

It certainly will not be aright in the end if we stay in the blastard EU for one minute longer than we have to Purwell.

If so, now that wasn't very nice now.
Was it?
You can't win the argument, so you turn to being abusive to the poster, which I notice is rather a trait of yours.
If I were Admin right now.
I would ban you, at least for a while.

Using terms such as "remainiac" and "remoaner" are abusive so if you stop being rude others may be more polite in response

It would be nice if we could have a polite discussion about this without using names and labels. The press is to blame as they started using these terms. But just shows how easily influenced readers are....
