Jezbollah Corbyn's Hypocrisy Unearthed

Corbyn's hypocrisy after cosying up to repressive regime: Labour leader fails to mention his connections to Tehran as he attacks Boris's handling of the case

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ve-regime.html

"The Labour leader yesterday called for Boris Johnson to be sacked as Foreign Secretary over his handling of the case of a British mother in jail in Iran, accusing him of ‘embarrassing and undermining our country’ over remarks that could lead to her spending longer in prison."

"But he failed to condemn Tehran for locking her up or acknowledge his own connections to the regime, which include defending it against sanctions and taking tens of thousands of pounds from its state-run television channel.

Press TV paid the Labour leader £20,000 for just a handful of appearances on the station, which is now banned from broadcasting in the UK.

Tory MP Andrew Bridgen said: ‘Comrade Corbyn is a hypocrite who should declare how he has taken tens of thousands of pounds from the Iranian regime.’"

Re: Jezbollah Corbyn's Hypocrisy Unearthed

The Daily Mail and, therefore, you are getting increasingly desperate in your continuous attempt to pain Labour in general and Corbyn in particular in the worse possible light.
Firstly, the issues are separate.
Secondly, sanctions in any situation are not always a good thing as the impotent majority are always affected much much more than the hierarchy with whom the argument is. Also, where sanctions are concerned our main aim is to do what the USA tell us to do, is that always the best route for us to take?
Thirdly, £20000 for several TV appearances seems very cheap indeed. Given that the Tories Once and Future Queen thought it a good idea to have tea with the foul Pinochet and support him in his fascist deeds all the way, are they in any position to attack anyone who has contact with any foreigner who might be less than pure?

Given a choice who I'd ask for help for this case I'd suggest Jeremy may be safer hands than Boris or anyone else.

If you want the case solved with a good end then support Jeremy getting involved if you want the end to be a tragic case then support Boris and friends.

There is no good end to "Jezbollah" Corbyn coming to power. His communist/Marxist tendencies and reprehensible history of supporting terrorists is a clear and present danger to every citizen of this country.

I thought the thread was about the case of the lady in prison in Iran if I got that wrong then sorry but she would IMO be helped more by Jeremy than Boris and I'm sure Mrs may could ask him personally to get involved if she really wanted a decent end to that case.

Re: Jezbollah Corbyn's Hypocrisy Unearthed

I think it is a standard diplomatic principle that a British citizen is liable for their own safety abroad, including familiarising themselves with e foreign country's laws and making sure they don't break them. When that fails the FO then step in to try and get special dispensation and clemency, probably in return for some benefits flowing the other way.
Thus Corbyn would be breaking with set protocols if he did what Unrealist wants.

Would be very easy to make matters worse, as Boris has done.
