I haven't bought any ready meals for ages but I do remember M&S having some nice ones.
I very rarely buy ready-meals but make an exception for one that I sometimes include from Tesco. It's their Classic Kitchen Lamb's Liver and Bacon with Onions in a rich gravy. (NOT the one that has Mash with it) YUK! This is just Liver Bacon and Onions. They give a really generous 450g portion for just £2.50 (or 3 for £6.50). I don't like a lot of Liver on my plate so he who must obey has a really generous helping as he loves it. It tastes really delicious and excellent value for money.

I take one of these to work at least once a week when on the late shift, would certainly recomend it.

Re: Co-operative ready meals...

I’m a big fan of Charlie Bigham (always called him Bingham until I was corrected!) meals. They’re a bit expensive but worth it when I’m feeling lazy. They do nice Steak and Ale and Chicken and Mushroom pies. Most large supermarkets do them now.

Re: Co-operative ready meals...

We had a broccoli quiche from Waitrose at the beginning of the week which was lovely. We then had one from Sainsbury's yesterday, 40p cheaper but it tasted of nothing.

Re: Co-operative ready meals...

They are a convenient quick food but I've recently given them up altogether.
After reading the nutritional content of these handy meals and looking at the salt, fat and sugar in most of them (including the so-called "diet" ones), I now prefer a couple of wraps instead - usually made with chicken or tuna and with a healthy wedge of salad inside.
Much better for you, as cheap as a ready meal and just as easy to prepare
