Had to be summat from the freezer today. So breaded fish it was then, with homemade chips, and peas. And a glass of cream soda.

Tomorrow's lunch may be courtesy of Morrisons cafe...

I made some chicken tikka this evening with some vegetable rice and I made some Madras sauce. I slightly over-powered the sauce with the lemon juice but, once it was in, I couldn't take it out again, so it made me eyes water a bit!

I rang the pie shop yesterday morning at 09.15 to reserve a couple of superb pork 'n apple pies. Only just made it!!! - he only had two left!!! they are fantastically popular. So I ate my pork 'n apple pie yesterday.

Re: What are you having for lunch/dinner?

Picked up five pork steaks at Tesco yesterday for £1.65, so am going to mince it in fancy new mincer, then will divide and put half through again with a leek and try the sausage attachment, and the other half will mince again with a cox's apple and make some scotch eggs (tip here, those bread sticks make excellent crumbs for coating). While machine is out will then mince a couple of small sirloin steaks with an onion and like lavender will make some mince and tatties with swede in the spuds and served with carrots and cabbage, or then again may cook mince and onion mix, thicken and make gravy and then make a minced beef pie and a couple of pasties.

For tea tonight I had some frozen Cod with sauce from Lidl and new tatties with butter melted in them. Lovely...
