Crunch Time.

Hi

After all the Hype from both sides here we are.

Down to the nitty gritty.

What we want and what the EU wants.

We are miles apart.

The EU is offering Tariff Free on manufactured products and Agriculture.

Limited Access to Services, nothing on Financials, our biggest Export to them.

They have dismissed our threat of No Deal, simply because they know we are not ready.

Cost of getting ready £6 Billion, cost of not getting ready,£35 to £37 Billion.

Where is the sense in that?

Re: Crunch Time.

I have always said that the EU are going to give us nothing.

And here is the evidence.

The only logical course of action is to walk away and make our own future.

Some say that we cannot do that; it is impossible as we are not ready.

My answer is to get ready and I know full well that our government has been dragging its feet.

Trade under WTO rules if necessary.

At the end of the day, we decide what we buy and offer to sell what others want. We have always managed to do this in the past.

I still maintain that after they have finished their blustering, the EU countries (individually if necessary) will eventually decide that it is in their interest to deal with us on mutually beneficial terms.

"Yes, we'll sell you our cars, wine, cheese, etc. at favourable rates, but no, we won't pay a similar rate for your services."

"OK, no thanks, we'll buy cars from Japan, wine from the colonies and cheese we can make ourselves. The rest of the world will make use of our services."

How strange that suddenly, now we are leaving the EU, lots of people are assuring us that we will fail.

That does annoy me.

Hi

We have set our Red Lines.

No Single Market, no Customs Union ,no ECJ.

That was our decision.

That is what we voted for.

The result of that is a Free Trade Deal, nothing more.

The EU is offering a Free Trade Deal,no Tariffs on Goods and Agricultural Products.
eses for Medicinees
Services are out of it,our biggest Export.

Our choice not theirs.

We have also rejected the ECJ, so we leave the EU Agencies for Air Slots,Medicines,Chemicals and Nuclear.

We are now asking to be included in them.

The EU have said get stuffed, your decision, not ours.

Get your own, pay for it yourselves.

Welcome to the big bad world.

The EU are also saying, no deal without access to your Fisheries.

Same game as everyone else.

India has said no dealt without Free Movement.

The USA and others have made complaints to the WTO.

We are on our own now,up to our Politicians to deliver the Goods.

We said no Deal is better than a Bad Deal.

Every other Trading Nation knows we cannot do that, we are simply not ready, so they are all out to suff us.

That is how the World works.

Love we can't cherry pick but eu can ! Our fishing IMO is a red line and how arrogant of them to assume they can just take it.

When you leave a club IMO no one should be worse off than when they joined. What was ours should be returned to us.

I agree.

The EU is just out for all it can get, now that it will be losing one of its biggest financiers.

It knows it can call all the shots because it is aware that we have such a weak PM and that she is dancing on a knife edge what with all those traitors in Parliament.

Hi

We chose to leave the Single Market and Customs Union.

Our choice, our decision.

This what I voted for.

I did so in the full and certain knowledge that there would be Financial Consequences.

I never believed for one minute that we would save money, the Big Red Bus was a joke.

Neither did I ever believe the Brexiteers Promises.

Have our cake and eat it,simplest Trade Agreement in history, bla bla bla.

It was always going to hurt, so what?

Worth it.

I planned for it, I am £15k up on exchange rates,Tax free.

Others, the rich Brexiteers, are £millions up., some are hundreds of £millions up.

If you think that Brexit is going to make you better off, forget it.

It is the price we pay for self determination.

I am happy to pay it.

Julie darlin' the EU can just take our fish, since we don't have any fishery protection vessels to police the uk waters and stop over fishing or the taking of under-sized fish, or more than their quota allows.

Hi

I would remind you UJ of my previous posts.

I have only ever voted Tory once in my life, and that was to get rid of Tony Blair.

I learnt my politics from Harold Wilson.

A pragmatic Socialist.

As you say, down to the nitty gritty......and lo! The EU suddenly want to offer us stuff!

No surprise there. They have more to lose than us.

I expect the EU to move closer to our position over the next 12 months. I don't believe any of their red lines or non-negotiables.
They have been preening and posturing for the past year but time is getting short and the EU want a deal.......
