TV and chilling

I've not been firing on all cylinders lately, so thought I'd be kind to myself. It was raining and damp so I decided to sod everything, stay in, do nothing, shut the world out and watch TV. Chill and be a slob! No make up, hair not done, slob clothes.

Scrolled through the TV listings and found two films coming up - only an hour to wait !

First it was Gregory Peck as Johnny Ringo in Gunfighter.

Then it was Tyrone Power as Zorro.

Can't remember the last time I sat down watching TV in the daytime. By 'ec you can't beat the good oldies and a chill out. Don't even feel guilty I've done nothing all day

Do you have TV chill out days?

Re: TV and chilling

We spend far too much time watching tv. Normally commencing at 5.45am or there abouts, which is the time our 2 chihuahuas get up.
Also we’ve recently installed both Netflix and Now TV. So we have a lot of choices to watch.

Re: TV and chilling

Apart from seeing my Dad I try to make Sundays my ME days but it doesn't always pan out like that. When they do though I love being busy doing nothing. I especially like to have a lay in on Sundays but my body clock always gets me up as if it thinks I'm off to work!!!

I've only got Freesat, that'll do me though. I'm not much into telly bashing. But when I've got the TV on in the evenings, I do feel I've found a prize when I catch the old films I enjoy

Queenie, yes I used to make Sundays ME time in the long ago distant past - pre child that is.

Then bringing up The Child on my own, there was always something that needed doing, so ME time went out the window.
Then she grew up but I'd got out of the habit of chilling.

Somewhere my brain thinks I shouldn't sit and chill - it's lazy

But today, it was actually 'be lazy without guilt and enjoy'. And I did

Never mind chill out days, I don't have any days!

Good for you though Pesta. It's nice to stop the world and get off it occasionally

The Psycho films keep being repeated.

I settled down to watch Psycho 2 (think it was) not long ago but found it boring after half an hour and switched it off
