I have mixed feelings about school holidays. Yes the roads are quieter, I don’t have a constant stream of families walking past my flat on their way (I have a school within spitting distance). When they’re home, they are more than likely to be running about the communal grounds, playing. All day till late. We seem to have had more and more families moving in over the past few years but fortunately, one of them will be moving out soon. (Renting, given two months notice.) Happy Summer, Rhian! I too remember counting down the days. Although the rewards are unmatched, excellence in teaching typically means 60-80 hours of work. Your break is hard- earned and well-deserved.Thread Tools | |
