Life isnt easy by any stretch of the imagination for him so anything like this I cant welcome enough.
I really hope it helps then!

If I absolutely have to shop in a supermarket - I choose their quietest hour of all - 7:00am - when Sainsbury's opens !

It will be interesting to see if Morrison's experiment works, though. Well done them!

Hopefully it will work well for people who are affected by Autism and it's umbrella. There are more people affected than we realise. I don't really know much about autism/aspergers except the people who have it don't like bright light and noise.

This will be wonderful news for one of my friends who has a son with autism, who is, I might add a VERY clever young 12 year old.

Re: Morrisons 'quiet hour' for autistic shopping introduced

I've just been into my local Morrisons (with my son) at the "quiet time" between 9am and 10am ...very subdued lighting(so dim I couldn't see prices of products) and no checkout bleeps but apart from that I couldn't tell anything different ..If I had to say Id say it was marginally quieter ..(apart from the kid screaming blue murder at the checkout in front of us)
My son said he liked the subdued lighting..we shall be popping in again at the "quiet time" but only because its at a convenient time for us.

"Fairly full" should mean that Morrisons will keep "quiet hour" going, though, which is good ......
