Re: Cleaning Lady

Ah all those lovely TV series come to life now - 'Brideshead.........." etc - that's why they needed all those 'servants' 'slaves' 'worker bees' to do everything that didn't really matter in life but which was really necessary??

Jeeves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There will come a time, when we will have to build a wall round the Cotswolds, ringfence it, drystone of course.

Re: Cleaning Lady

You know spittle .
I have always been in countries where there are many poor people desparate for a job .
I always paid well and was kind to people who worked for me .
They all stayed with me a long time and became friends I was happy to help them and pay a good days wage .
I have always hated the sort of people who think because they have a cleaner /maid /housekeeper whatever they can act like the last days of the Raj .

Re: Cleaning Lady

I do mine myself - don't mind it really but I did have a professional oven cleaner once as a treat to myself. I might even make a regular habit of it as it's the one job I detest!!

Re: Cleaning Lady

I really would love to have a cleaner but Mr Missy says no

If my day off would always stay the same then I would get one and just not mention it to him

Not for the everyday tidying and kitchen cleaning, that I keep on top of, its all the rooms that aren't used that need dusting, hoovering etc that I just don't find the time nor inclination to do, plus all those jobs like washing the skirtings etc
