Re: Would you help

If anyone was attacking my dad or loved ones then without a doubt I would act and think later, for other people i.m not so sure, especially in this day and age

I wouldn't want a knife in my ribs thank you, so best just to phone 999 quick and stay out of danger imo.

Re: Would you help

I have done in the past, these days i would hesitate but need to be afraid of personal safety due to my disability.

I was attacked myself a while back, by someone who thought i was easy target, i warned them several times before i stopped them in their tracks with one blow.

However i dont like feeling this vulnerable, so i would not intervene if it was blokes fighting, but hope i would in the case of those like myself.

In the 80s when an elderly bag lady was surrounded by yobs, who were threatening her, I went to her aid and they ran away. I hope I would still help anyone in danger.

Re: Would you help

It would depend on many things; Who was being attacked and by whom? Some good me wading in with a dodgy ticker....If I was with Mrs Fox, I would send her in first, she likes a good brawl......

Re: Would you help

Instinct propells you forward to help..then the brain kicks in, which in some circumstances is not such a bad thing.

Incidents today have far more serious consequences should thing go wrong, or rather appear to go wrong that it is now wiser to look before you leap.
