Loretta - most of the clothes re Primark are made in India
I can only presume they are opting for 'cheaper' cotton on certain items now .........

Thank you Patsy, that could explain it. I know the sock are very cheap but I still expect them to last longer than just wearing once.

I used to like Asda socks, the type that look knitted, but, the last few I bought got holes where they join at the ankles. I buy the super fluffy ones in Tesco or Peacocks now, they're warm and comfy.
Tesco used to do really comfy sports bras which had a bit of padding you could remove, now they've stopped doing these!
