Making my doctors appointment

I have had my well man clinic appointment and was told to make a appointment with doctor, was then told I had to phone Monday, Monday I phoned told to ring Friday, Friday I phoned was told no appointments.
What is going on.

The rules change every time I try. I know cos I ask and write them down, so's we'd know. Then next time - we don't know! :s

What is going on.
Probably results of test you had done , nothing found so NonUrgent.

I had a phone request from my surgery to make appoinment , it worried me sick thinking they found something ,
it turned out my Cholesterol was up ,

It's absolutely soul destroying. Our surgery does have a system where you can phone at 8.30 a.m. each morning, to try and get an appointment that day, but it's sometimes impossible to get through.

Ours has that too but you are competing with the people who turn up at the surgery and wait for it to open, I drove past one day before Christmas and you need to be in line before 7am to get near the front of the queue !

I guess they told you to make the appointment in anticipation that they would be able to fit you in but it has been busier than anticipated so they have been unable to do so. More urgent cases took precedence, I could accept that .

I had a HRCT scan cancelled twice, a bit inconvenient because I had arranged transport on both occasions but I didn't mind if someones need was greater than mine.

Did you have to renew it?.
