Re: Davey Jones! has passed :(

We may just have been, wouldn't that be funny? I was jumping up and down and screaming, so was everyone else and we could hardly hear them.

Never really into the manufactured groups but he seemed a nice kid and of course the poor lad has been taken far to soon.

RIP Davy.

I was also sorry to hear this. Didn't know much about them but liked their hits. They were saying on the news earlier that he played the part of Ena Sharples' grandson in Corrie when he was little and they showed a clip.

Poor Davy, may he rest in peace. The wife was a big fan of his but I was never fond of the Monkees, the weekly TV show was hopeless in my opinion.

Re: Davey Jones! has passed :(

I quite liked them really because they were a daft set of lads that made it. I bought their first album (LP) which I still have.

Can't say that I had a favourite, but I do remember Davy Jones appearing on Corrie as Ena Sharples' grandson, and that was a lifetime ago.

It is sad that he died what is considered to be relatively young these days, but my partner was just 64 when he died, so living is just a lottery.

At school we were all in love with Davy Jones Apparently he died in his sleep following a massive heart attack. RIP Davy I used to love the TV show.

Re: Davey Jones! has passed :(

I saw a news clip yesterday that showed him doing 'his' Davey dance and I remember learning to copy that so, so many years ago. Yep, my hips just don't swing like that anymore. I Googled looking for a clip from 'Daydream Believer' as that's where the hips did their 'thing', but stumbled across this which I have never seen (could it be because I'm here in Canada?) and thought I'd share: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PNfnNBDatY
