A group of school pupils allegedly chained a black student to a lamppost and whipped him in a "mock slave auction".
Police are investigating the allegation, which happened at a school in Bath, and said it was taking it "extremely seriously". http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-43401500
I've never been to Bath, but i imagine it to be a nice place. Not the sort of place you'd find things like that happening in 2018.
I was there only yesterday!
My son and his family live there...I dont recall ever having seen a black face there, though Im sure there must be some!
However, I'd say that its predominantly white middle class.
I am shocked, to put it mildly. We used to live in Bath between 1971-76, two of our children were born there. It doesn't say which school was involved. I certainly hope it wasn't the one where my husband was a teacher and house master.
I certainly hope the Independent School my husband was working at would not tolerate that sort of disgusting behaviour, anymore than my husband would have tolerated it when he was a head teacher of a state secondary school.

Nobody is tolerating it are they. Forgive me if I am mistaken but didn't those employed at the school confirm in the news report that this behaviour was being taken very seriously? I would expect no less from any employee of any school.
