Slept with my phone at the bedside in case Mrs Fox needed me when the inevitable happens. I've been trying to keep things ticking over here, canceling appointments and informing relatives. The washer is whirring away behind me as I type, I was running out of socks and stuff so I've put a white wash on.....I've watched Mrs Fox do it a thousand times, how hard can it be?

The Father in Laws slow decline continues with frequent bursts of panic, flailing arm around and moaning. It's so hard to see him like this. Off now to spend another day by his bedside with Mrs Fox.......

Oh Bob, how sad for you and your wife to see him like that.. especially when they can do nothing to help him. I don't know if it will help, but sometimes they suggest talking to very sick people can help them. Nothing serious, just about happy memories or loving moments he shared with his daughter.
Give this to your wife from me ... she is going to need a few over the coming days.

Father in Law passed away last night at eight fifteen.....

Bob I suspect you and your wife won't see it like this but, in you Father in Law's mind, I am sure that he would have viewed his passing as a merciful release.
