Every year we have a single robin at our feeder and this year is no different. I wonder how long they live. I think I took this about five years ago.

Very rarely do they live beyond two seasons,especially in hard winters.

Interesting PD. We bought this house just over eleven years ago and one of the first things I built in the garden was a bird feeder. Every year we've had a robin here. I'd love to know whether it's the next generation or just coincidence that there's always a robin here in winter.

Great shot Kev, ive been looking for a site i use for issues of longevity, but cant find it at the moment. So this will give you some idea.

Love all the Robin photos , i have a Robin visiting my garden , but also in the last week a Jenny Wren its been round all the Pots which ive planted bulbs in searching and pecking the soil /compost .
