I'll probably have a sort of risotto - rice with mushrooms, chicken, prawns, onions, water chestnuts and anything else I can think of to chuck into it including chilli. I'll probably make enough to last two days. I like a good mix up.

I think I'm getting bored with food. I'll go to eat something, thinking how yummy it looks, and then tire of it halfway through. In fact, I think I'm just bored with everything. I sleep any chance I get and I have no motivation whatsoever.

Linda, a chat with a doctor wouldn’t do you any harm

I've talked to my doctor about it. Just had an appointment (for a regular checkup) with her a couple of weeks ago. She asked me if I wanted to try a mild anti-depressant, but I declined. I've been on those drugs before and I had horrible side-effects to them and coming back down off of them was a nightmare.

It's just... I don't know. Everyday things I used to enjoy doing all just seem so monotonous now.

That's ashame Linda, perhaps you are run down. Don't get Anti-depressants they are useless and addictive. Perhaps its just the warm weather.

Today we are having:

Cajan spicy Chicken Breasts, R. Potatoes, Baked Onion, Cabbage, Swede.

Linda. Talking therapy might be of use to you. Can you get a referral to a counselor at all ?

Low grade depression can lead to full on depression if not treated

Re: OFF slimming club---open to everyone.

Trust me, girls, I've been there and done all of that. Anti-depressants, therapy, etc. I had bad anxiety about 10 years ago. I was having panic attacks, was on 2 types of medications, ended up in the emergency room because I thought I was dying... I've been down that road already. And while my anxiety is better (even though I'm still on one medication to control it) I still get down about things and I worry constantly. About everything. My brain never shuts off and there are days it drives me crazy. And yes, in case anyone is wondering, I've tried the meditation thing too. It's like my body is resistant to relaxation. Even though I feel tired most of the time, I never sleep through a whole night undisturbed. It's this damn brain of mine. It won't give me any peace.

Oh well, enough of that nonsense. I'm working today, so I think I'll just take Lean Cuisine (frozen meal). I really don't worry about what I eat anymore. I think I've given up that fight, too. But I keep those meals around for something quick to grab on my way out the door (to a job I've been working 10 years that I've grown to despise) when I don't have anything else accessible enough to take with me.
