Pleased to hear it all went well youngatart - now, did you stay with her all day as promised

Just kidding - get yourself ready to take care of her when she comes home

How is your wife doing today youngatart? Bet you're both counting the days until she can go home and get some kind of normality back into your lives.

She's doing very well thanks. Moving out of bed now. Using laptop already. Was worried she was lifting it though in my absence. Not using rest room yet.
One thing that bothered me...specialist said to her that cancer was a distinct possibility but that it was a "good cancer". The only cancer I know is the one which killed my mother (lung cancer) at age 66. So I'm not really familiar with "good" cancer. He meant that it was very treatable and hinted that chemotherapy would be very effective. I'm surprised the doctor had this conversation before biopsy result. Anyway..if we stop worrying about the future, current situation is very good.

I'm pleased to hear she is doing well.

Good cancer could mean that it was a benign growth or one that hadn't metasticised and they are very treatable. I'm also surprised but maybe he's trying to prepare you for the possibility - if it is, then you'll be expecting it and if it isn't, then you'll be very happy. Cancer isn't the automatic death sentence it used be. I've had it three times and I'm still here! So if the surgeon is optimistic then so should you both be

Re: Ovarian Cysts

Biopsy result

High Grade 2C Serous Carcinoma.
Chemotherapy to start soon.
Used as preventative because operation took all previous cancer out.

Radical change in lifestyle for Angie.....juice, juice, juice, no meat, no fat, vegetarian, no more chocolate or ice-cream.
Ange would prefer no chemo. but doesn't appear any better options at the moment.
