tonight baked chicken breasts and a spinach, tomato and fresh mozzarella salad... with 18 year old balsamic.. YUM!!!

I've not had faggots for years ,my dad used to make them.Did you make them Mollie ?.If so I'd like the recipe ,don't think I could eat shop bought ones ,prefer to know what is actually in them .

Sorry lass no, I didn't make them. They were Mr Brain's Faggots. That sounds horrible I know, but they are gorgeous and come with a West Country sauce.

However, from what I can decipher, I should imagine they're made with minced pork, minced onion, salt and pepper, and perhaps a few little herbs, and made up pretty much like meat balls, with egg or flour to bind the mixture.

Here's a recipe I found online, although there are others as well.

Tonight I am making my own Minted Lamb Burgers with oven cubed potatoes and beans. Have never made the burgers before, so hopefully it will turn out alright.

Aaahhhh Mollie darlin' - solved another dilemma - "what I can have for lunch". I too have a carton of Brain's Faggots, can have them with a sweet potato, carrot and parsnip mash and gravy.

That sounds almost like my dad made them ,I,m sure he used offal as well in them .Brain's Faggots [what a name].Don't knock em till you've tried them though I suppose .
