Why should Israel take in Syrians in its tiny country when vast Arab lands around refuse to take their Arab brothers ?
This is an exceptional humanitarian act allowing them safe passage .
As is the medical treatment they have been giving Syrians injured in the fighting for years .
There are still some 300 left trapped in Syria one hope Syria too these will be able to get out safely .
Israel has always maintained that it is a humanitarian nation (sic). As part of that International community and wanting to be part of the international humanitarian countries, it is obliged to abide by international law, in this instance, pertaining to refugees. International Law states that refugees (the 'White Helmets are refugees) must be given shelter in the FIRST country they come to and be given the chance of refugee status there.
My question remains, WHY didn't Israel allow these refugees to remain???

It is my understanding from what I have read that they were rescued at the request of the US and some European countries and had already been offered placements by Germany Canada and the UK so there was no need for Israel to take them.
