Both great for light reading in this hot weather.

Re: What book are you reading now?

Im reading The Farm by Tom Rob Smith atm ...

The novel confronts issues of mental health, family, and truth. Protagonist Daniel's life is collapsed by an unexpected phone call from his father, who informs him that his mother is suffering from intense paranoid delusions. Daniel's mother, meanwhile, claims that she is wholly sane, insisting that Daniel's father is part of a group that sexually accosts young women in their local Swedish district. Daniel is left torn between his parents and unsure of whom to trust.

Re: What book are you reading now?

I am in the middle of "Bring Me Back" by B. A. Paris.

Fiction about a man who's wife disappeared, but he doesn't share all the details of that night at first. After twelve years, he finds clues she is still alive, while he's engaged to her sister and about to marry her...Well written, easy to get through, and I think the ending is going to surprise me. I hope so!

I've just started The Secret History by Donna Tartt. I don't often read a book more than once but I read this before, back in 2001. And something made me think of it again recently. A beautiful book.

Just finished The Last Hours by Minette Walters. Surprisingly for this author it is a to be continued story which you don't realise until the last page.

Re: What book are you reading now?

I've just finished 'The girl on the train' and to be honest I didn't think I'd see it through to the end but I did.

I had no sympathy for the main character - her friend must have been a saint to let her stay in her flat - getting drunk, being sick all over the place....

The other two women seemed to be unstable too!

It was alright but not one I could say I enjoyed.
