Hmmmm - People haven't understood the political subtleties of this. Whilst 'Parliament' is in recess (away on holiday), it allows May et al to do what she and her scumbag collagues like without it being scutinised by Parliament. Yes there will be further votes on Brexit, but May will produce is as a 'fait accompli'

Re: MPs to vote on early Summer Holiday.

My understanding of them wanting to finish 5 days early is that Theresa May is running scared because whilst Parliament is in session until Tuesday (when they officially swan off) she is worried sick this may be being enough time for the ProBrexit MP's to gather enough "No Confidence" letters to be handed in. This is Olly Robbins and his ilk at work.

The SNP, LibDems and Labour have said they will vote against it.

Hi

My personal view is that time is now so short it will make no difference if a new Leader is elected.

We are now down to a straight Canada Style Deal or No Deal.

The only difference would be that a new Leader might get on with the job with putting things in place which we will need in either situation.

The EU have now signed the Trade Deal with Japan, a bigger economy than the UK.

My feelings too. May is beginning to realise that she is just not up to the job.

If she had anything about her, she'd have resigned her position and asked for a replacement for PM.

The best thing to happen to May is for Her to take a wee 'bad turn'...nothing serious..just enough to get Her out of the picture for a few Months so that Someone more capable can take over,..'twould be a good excuse as She doesn't know what to do next...Of course She could also claim sickness benefit after filling in umpteen forms, then waiting for months on end for payment...but then She won't starve or be threatened with eviction will She?

Re: MPs to vote on early Summer Holiday.

Hi

She is no better or worse than many Politicians when it comes to lying, there are much better liars in Parliament.

What I do not understand is this.

How will replacing her with someone else change things?

Parliament has overturned her plan already, so it is now a simple Free Trade Deal or No Deal.

The EU and Japan have just created the largest Free Trade Area in the World.

Why on earth would we not want a Free Trade Deal with the EU.?

We pay them nothing, no Free Movement and can sign any Trade Deals we want with anyone else.

Isn't that what people voted for?

It would not include Services, which are 80% of our Exports, but that is the nature of every Free Trade Deal.

Once we leave the EU, we will have to renegotiate all the Free Trade Deals we have as part of the EU.

This is a mammoth task in itself, one which no other Country in the World has ever attempted.
