The production is brilliant and, no doubt, the children had a lot of fun making it - but - as an advert it failed - for me anyway. It rambled on too long before reaching the point.
It's lovely, it must have cost a bomb ....I wonder does this type of mega production work?
Does it inspire you to visit John Lewis?
Is that the purpose of the add or have these productions become a status symbol for the big retailers...not sure what it's supposed to achieve...it's lovely anyway.

No - it does not tempt me to visit either JL or Waitrose. Anyone who was not familiar with them would be totally confused about what they were selling !
