As to the length of the states borders, it is not so much the length that matters but rather the ease by which people can cross and then just disappear into the population.
Texas, for example has a much longer border with Mexico than California. Texas, also has a HUGE problem. Last week, border patrol agents raided a 2 bedroom house and found 62 illegals living there. A few hours later, a large closed truck, was stopped and 55 illegals were found hiding inside. On the same day, in Texas, a high speed chase, at speeds of 140 KPH, a van filled with illegals resulted in the deaths of 5.
Last month, 55,836 illegals were arrested all along the entire border. How many escaped detection is unknown.
In the entire U.S. it is estimated that there are 11,400,000 illegals of different nationalities living in the U.S.
In California alone, an estimated 2,150,000 illegals live here. And, because of the wacko leftist politicians, the illegals vote. The voting by illegals has nearly destroyed our system.

Race has nothing, repeat nothing, to do with America wanting to control her borders. It has to do with national security AND protection of our people from a tsunami of people who think they have a right to ignore our laws. PERIOD !Playing the race card is one of the favorite tactics of leftists. It is designed to shame people, actually blackmail people, into doing what the leftists demand.
If some European nations wish to fling open the doors and allow millions of immigrants, who have destroyed their own nations to take over, that is the business of those nations. Just don't complain when your culture is completely destroyed.
