Paint pads for painting walls - better than rollers?

I want to paint my bedroom... soft yellow! Sick n tired of the blue - it's so depressing!

So wondered, is it worth giving those paint pads a shot? They're meant to be less messier and quicker too? :-/

Depends on the size of the room I think as paint pods are quite expensive. I think painting a room with a paintbrush is quite relaxing, especially if you have some of your favourite music playing. I am the messiest painter around, seem to get it all over my hands and hair before I have hardly opened the tin but still enjoy it. Used a roller once and hated it.

I prefer to use a paintbrush - I feel more in control then!

Paintpads are supposed to make less mess, but rollers are quicker although I always need a brush for the edges which I do first.

I don't mind using a brush for the edges, but if at all possible I don't want to have to put protective sheets everywhere/tape off the skirting boards etc
