Re: nail varnish

Try using a hairdryer which will soften it then dabbing it off with absorbant paper.

Re: nail varnish

I had a friend who used a hairspray.

Spray it on the nail varnish leave for about 10/15 seconds and wipe off.

Hope it works but are'nt there are nail polish removers which could do the same job.

Is the floor real wood or that crappy Laminate stuff ?

Real wood can be sanded down and re-varnished without causing any harm .

Good luck

Unfortunately the 14 yr old princess (who swore she never used the stuff in her room) also smeared it around after the spill, and the mess it about 8" across. It's not high quality carpet so I guess the best option is to rip it out and put down hardwood (after she moves out).
