Re: I Need some help, Kitchen plinth

Hi

The plinth is now off and in one piece, unbroken.

I thought that was going to be the difficult bit, but having looked underneath, I will give it a miss and start again tomorrow.

Good idea - Don't do today what you can put off until tomorrow.

Hi

Spring Clips.

They had also siliconed the bottom where it meets the floor.

I build fish tanks, so had the right gear for that.

If they had used HA6 silicone, that would have been a right pain.

under the sink?or if you have a laundry , could be in there. Look for a pipe that comes up through the floor and is cold

Hi

The main stopcock is in the utility, but loathe to cut all the water off.

I am trying to find the shut off valve just to the dishwasher.

I have seperate shut off valves to all the taps etc in the house.

I need to remove the plinth so I can get to the dishwasher, the pump has failed.
if you look at the copper pipe that feeds your dishwasher there may well be something like this under your sink

The blue lever cuts off the dishwasher water supply

The round thing between the two nuts has a flat head slot for a screw driver. This shuts off the water supply to taps and dishwasher. Quarter turn so the slot is horizontal will do the trick

The clamp thingy with the red pipe feeds the water ironiser unit which you may not have

Might make it easier for you to isolate the water to your dishwasher. Hope this helps

H

The pinth is off.

Water and electric is disconnected.

The adjusters are seized, I do not have the strength to move them.

I will have to get someone in now.
