The Edgar Wallace Mystery Theatre

I've become quite addicted to this show. Currently it's on daily on TalkingPicturesTV.

Set in the early 60s, it shows a very different London to now. Mainly in the affluent areas, there is a different mystery each episode.

Originally they were shown as supporting features on the cinema circuit.

I see they've also started showing Burke's Law with Gene Barry in the starring role. A must watch TV show `back in the day`.

I can remember watching Edgar Wallace when I was young. I remember the theme tune most, wasn't that the Shadows?

I have the original theme as one of my phone's tunes for a mate of mine called Edwin so I know it's him calling and to answer the phone.

I used to borrow Edgar Wallace books from the library when l was about ?16. I loved them!

I’d love to see ‘Fabian Of The Yard’ on television again!

I liked the TV series - introduced by Edgar Lustgarton not read any of the books.

Once won a 'slow jive' dance competition to the Man of Mystery theme!

That would be Scotland Yard - they showed quite a few episodes on Talking Pictures TV recently. They all had a PG rating for some reason and the usual apology for non-PC language.
