American State capitals
Not sure if this has been done before but how many American state capitals can you name in ten minutes?https://www.sporcle.com/games/g/uscapitals
If you don't know one, you can click on next. Eventually the ones you missed will come round again and the result is given at the end.
I scored 23
There were some more that I knew but couldn't spell correctly.

What I find odd about the US state capitals is that apart from a few, they are not the names we would expect. For instance, you would think Las Vegas would be the capital of Nevada or that Houston would be the capital of Texas etc.

New York come to mind. New York (the city) dominates while the capitol is up the road a bit in Albany.Many of the state capitols of today, WERE the main cities when the different states were formed. You are correct in that today, many of these capitol cities are overshadowed by places like La Vegas and Houston.
