Marks and Spencer stores are selling sliced cauliflower as ‘Cauliflower Steak’ with lots of lovely plastic and charging £2 (normally £2.50).

Slice it in four, set up a wee stall outside your local M & S and make a profit.

Some interesting suggestions, thanks!

Looked online too...cauliflower and macaroni tarted up with onion, and cheese sauce tarted up with mustard, then grated cheese on top and baked sounds tasty. Lordruthio will have grilled bacon too. I might have a little so long as it's crispy!

Soup's a no-no unfortunately.

Braised in oyster sauce it's lovely

I will eat it but it is not one of my fave veggies. It is a must to have some kind of cheese sauce over it.

I love cauliflower and eat lots usually steamed sometimes roasted.

Rather than making a cheese sauce and browning I sometimes sprinkle a mixture of strong cheese, breadcrumbs and put a little cayenne pepper on top before grilling until golden.

Meg, I like your idea of sprinking a little cheese and breadcrumbs. Have you ever tried it with the Panko style breadcrumbs?

Hi Adanac you could use Panco but I would have to buy those and prefer fine breadcrumbs for many things.
I make my own bread so dry any 'spare' and use it to make fine breadcrumbs which I store in the freezer.
