I'm not sure that's fair Uj, we only got equal marriage under the tories, they are moving forward on some matters.

You can fight for equality without attending these meetings.

In fact, Julie, in terms of educational achievement, working class white males are at the very bottom of the pile.

The root of this problem, in the U.K., has been traced to poor white boys................ They’re even less likely than boys from many racial minority groups to go to college. In low-income neighborhoods, as few as one in 10 boys goes on to higher education, compared to half of girls.

By the time they’re 11, researchers observe, these boys feel little motivation to work hard in school, with few examples in their lives of men who went to college, and little hope they can afford what seem to them to be unaffordable fees.

In the U.S., it’s poor black and Hispanic boys who choose not to go to college, at higher rates than even poor white boys, for what experts believe are similar reasons. And a new study warns that, in America, all boys at the bottom of the income ladder are losing hope of ever climbing up it, in what the authors call “economic despair.” - Jon Marcus -

It's up to them to fight for themselves mick, I think women had to, disabled have to, black people have to, so they will have to too. It's like men not going to seek medical help, get up and start a campaign yourself I always think, don't expect women to do it for you, we've had to fight for ourselves we can't be expected to keep fighting for you too.

This is a typical case of Labour discrimination, and a blatant attempt to keep people out of a conference so that there are no contrarian voices in any discussion/debate.

Not too dissimilar to Labour refusing to allow discussion of BrExit at their major conference last year.

How can there ever be equality if there is going to be sectioning of the populous to such conferences ? It's basically saying those who are not Black or Asian or Minority Ethnic or LGBT or female may not have a voice on such issues.

Pretty shocking.
What a load of tosh.

The advert indicates that they have to be a paid up member of the Labour Party, and be under 27 years of age. Do you seriously think that those attending have to fulfil the criteria listed, such as being disabled gays? Nowhere does it say that the general young membership are excluded.

The discrimination is in your mind only.

Nowhere does the word 'OR' appear in the list. I think you need to read it again.

lol

So you've conveniently excluded the rest of the entry conditions?!

It says quite clearly:

Who can apply to attend?

To be eligible to apply you must:

- Self-define as BAME and/or disabled and/or LGBT and/or be a woman

Therefore white males may not apply and are not eligible.

= discrimination
