These are not especially good pics, shot quickly through double glazing, but it is what the bird was doing that I found interesting.We often get crows dipping food in our water features to soften it up.
They often drop it in then fly off before coming back about ten minutes later.
This time however it hopped down onto the grass.
It then dropped it into a hollow before covering it up with tufts of grass to hide it and then flying off.
I have never seen a bird do anything like it before in my life. Proper bird brains they be.
