Re: Over 50s Club Manchester/Cheshire

Suitcase crisis averted!!

Managed to fit in my blood test this morning (very long wait and only 15 minutes late for class) then I walked down our market and went into a luggage shop. In there i found a small to medium light weight case on 4 wheels, than can be pushed, for £25. Bargain, I thought. Had to nip next door to my bank to get cash out, but no problem.

On getting home, measured against the green one I've been using, this one is slightly bigger in all dimensions. Had my lunch so off to start packing! Hurrah.

That's great Jazzi. I'm sure it will come in useful for this weekend and many more weekend breaks in the future.

Re: Over 50s Club Manchester/Cheshire

Myrtle, did you get my test text yesterday?

Carol, yes I'm quite pleased with its size and glad I won't be walking into the Travelodge for 2 nights stay with a massive case! (The alternative.). And it will be handy for other short breaks, definitely.

I now need to 'sell' the green one. Absolutely no room indoors for all my cases, but might use the car.

Oh and Carol, I wasn't joking when I said we might be limping together: I now have a sharp pain in one heel, when walking. Doh! (I WILL enjoy this trip!!!! . )

I can't believe I'm doing something like this! It's usually outside my comfort zone.

Jazzi as I've got older I've chosen to do things outside of my comfort zone more for the hell of it, some experiences have been more rewarding than others but as they say on tv, you've got to be in it to win it

Re: Over 50s Club Manchester/Cheshire

Good evening, I see the preparations are in full swing, hope you all enjoy your time at the meet and the the travels go to plan.

I had a delivery this morning at 7am and the cat woke me up to let him out at 5.45 so I'm ready for bed now.
