I did it, I'm free

After years of using my credit cards for everything I paid the last of them off completely. It's all part of my master plan for retirement coming up as soon as this July. I'm debt free thanks to huges bonuses passed out in the past 10 days by my employer, Intel Corp. Now understand that huge is a relative thing yet the $2500 I received helped pay off everything. I'm counting the work days left and am somewhere around 68.

Re: I did it, I'm free

I'm counting down the days while stashing as much cash as possible. Sometimes you need to spend money to save money. Example: my medications. Once I leave my employment I lose medical coverage so I'm stockpiling meds to tide me over until I get signed up with my verteran's medical benefits. I'm having all my medications converted to generics so I can afford them without insurance. There are so many small details and so little time.

Glad to hear that, Bob; nothing like starting retirement completely debt free. I did. Excellent idea about the meds too!

Re: I did it, I'm free

It's the most liberating feeling in the world to wake on your first day of retirement and know, you are free!!!
