Diabetes forum

Hi all.

I thought I would start a Diabetes Forum, where we can discuss our health problems, diets, recipes etc.

Who is going to start then?

Re: Diabetes forum

I am doing really well with my blood sugars now, but I just thought I would let people know that when I broke my arm my blood sugars kept going really low so I was having to do around 8 readings a day.
My physio told me that the healing process was probably using more of my energy. She also said that, as I could only use one hand to carry things then I probably had to do twice as much walking!

Re: Diabetes forum

I'm Type 2 diabetic, my blood sugar hovers around 4.5-5.5 rising to around 7.0 a couple of hours after a meal which I don't think is too bad. I take Metformin for the condition but also watch my diet.

Re: Diabetes forum

Yes Twink, as soon as you are not well or got a cold your sugars levels are affected by this.

I'm doing quite well at the moment, no problems there.

Judd your Diabetes is fine, looking at your sugar levels you're normal.

Re: Diabetes forum

I’m pre or borderline diabetic so have to watch my diet. I’ve been at this stage for 3 years now so something’s working.
