Re: What type of freezer do you have?

Weve got a large upright fridge/freezer. It's only about a year old but weve got a problem, the house were moving too only has room for seperates under the work tops So we may have to sell it and buy seperates, which is a shame as it's a very good fridge/freezer

Can't you cut a space for it through the worktop ?

Sounds the logical thing to do Nero but I haven't got a lot of workspace anyway so wouldn't want to give up a worktop. A friend mentioned to me about putting it in the garage as a second fridge/freezer and buy seperates for the kitchen, which is a brilliant idea I don't know why I never thought of that, so that's what I'll do. A good suggestion though Nero, thanks.

Re: What type of freezer do you have?

I have a large upright freezer in the utility room which is mainly used for dog food and a large side by side fridge/freezer in the kitchen which I hate, it self defrosts and the comes out of the front of the freezer, I think it is poorly designed.

Its American, we have had it for quite a while now. It nearly was no more when the dogs tried to retrieve a treat that had gone underneath it, they pulled the panel off of the bottom and disconnected some wires. We didn't realise at first because all of the interior lights still worked!

We contacted the manufacturers who said we would have to buy a new one £1,200 OH pretty soon managed to reconnect them!

Mine is a LEC standard fridge/freezer. I've had it about 16 years and its still going strong-never had a problem with it. When it does decide its life is over I will definitely get one that is self-defrosting-bit of a nuisance having to keep defrosting it

Re: What type of freezer do you have?

Ours is about 60% the size of the fridge - which works well as I'm not all that keen on frozen foods (use it more to freeze 'fresh' M&S chicken - then take it out the day before its needed ).
